IDF Studio partnered with the San Francisco Design Center to provide pro bono interior design services for the new 52,000-square-foot expansion of the Ronald McDonald House at Stanford. Our room, Guest Room 213, was inspired by the whimsical Arts + Crafts wallpaper and included elements to inspire both kids and their families. The result is a cheerful, welcoming retreat.
Decorative lighting, a vintage headboard, and custom pillows and window treatments set the stage for bed and breakfast coziness.
Ronald McDonald House at Stanford (RMHS) creates a home away from home for families of children with life-threatening illnesses receiving specialized treatment at local hospitals. The children, who come from all over the world, arrive at RMHS with serious medical conditions. Many are treated for cancer; some are waiting for organ transplants. Young patients often stay for weeks – even months – at the House with their families.
